Founder
Adam founded High, Low, Buffalo as a vehicle to push architecture forward— searching for meaning, beauty, and ways to improve peoples’ daily lives. He lives in Colorado with his wife Rebekah (also an architect), their two young kids (who will probably grow up to be architects), and a scruffy black dog (who is always dressed in black like an architect).
Adam holds architectural degrees from Kansas State University and Yale University, and his work with renowned firms across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe has shaped his approach to design and deepened his commitment to creative excellence.
Adam teaches at CU Denver College of Architecture and Planning and hosts the ARCHITECT-ING podcast to share stories and strengthen the local design community.
Along the way, Adam has been honored with the 2024 AIA Colorado Architect of the Year Award, and High, Low, Buffalo has earned multiple design awards. But accolades aren’t the goal. Adam’s purpose is to keep exploring, keep questioning, and keep creating architecture that surprises, inspires, and ultimately makes life better.
Architectural Designer
Abe is a true Colorado native—a “unicorn,” as we call them. With an architectural engineering degree from the University of Wyoming, an M.Arch from University of Colorado Denver, and the rare distinction of surviving one of Adam’s architectural studio courses, he brings a strong balance of technical chops and design vision.
As a designer at High, Low, Buffalo, Abe loves diving into early design phases, getting to know clients, and making sure their projects are uniquely tailored to their needs. He gets excited about innovative designs that respect their surroundings—architecture that shapes how we experience the world, whether that’s through efficiency, comfort, or a little bit of creative weirdness.
When he’s not designing, Abe’s probably outside, rooting for Colorado sports teams, or playing guitar or piano—though sadly, he’s yet to master playing both at the same time.
